Hi, I’m Tash!
Growing up I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with my Mum and Grandma. Like many families, food was a way of bringing us all together and this is where my passion for baking began. Since then, the kitchen has always been a place of creation and inspiration for me.
After studying a Degree in Commerce and Arts at University I found myself pursuing a career in marketing, but after a few years in the work force I lost my job due to a global pandemic. This was when I made the decision to take a leap of faith and start my own business and Baked & Raised was born!
Based in Otepoti Dunedin, Baked & Raised offers a variety of baked goods including cakes, slices and cookies. All items are made to order in my DCC registered home kitchen using recipes inspired by family members and fond memories. I believe baking should taste just as good as it looks, so using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients where possible is key. I like to stay away from fondant icing and lashings of artificial food colouring, and instead use mother nature’s ingredients such as fruit, flowers and herbs to decorate.
The food I make is for people to share with their loved ones, to celebrate the special events in life, or to gift to someone special.
